Default New Ti Owner

Hi guys,
I have been into BMWs for sometime now and have had a slew of them over the past 7 years. Currently own a e46 m3, recently purchased a e36 318 sedan for dailying, and new as of this monday a 97 alpine white ti on black leather.

I was not planning on purchasing another car but once I saw the car on craigslist and that it was local, I had to check it out! It didnt run because the previous owner broke the key off in the iginition and stopped driving it. Then someone tried hotwiring it and broke off the ring antenna around the ignition. The body is in great condition and the m44 has been dealer maintained its entire life. Still has BMW blue coolant in the reservoir .

So I ended up picking it up cheap, and towed it to my house. I have the ring antenna on order to try and start it up. Tonight I will be looking at a complete s52 swap package (auto to manual). If all goes well...then Ill be picking everything up on Saturday. Already purchased J!m's swap manual and soon I'll be ready to go.

Once swapped, I'll be dailying the Ti and getting rid of the e36 sedan.
I hope I will be able to contribute as much as I get from this forum.

Thanks for reading!

Congrats on the pick up and an interesting project! As an owner of E36 M3, I would recommend checking compression in all 6 cylinders before u commit to the sale. These motors go forever if well maintained but also can be killed in 10k miles if not maintained properly. Good luck with the swap!
