I think I remember seeing that on mine. But, maybe fakes do too! __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 03-18-2010, 03:36 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2009 Location: Baltimore, MD Posts: 130 | good point.....i remember when i asked about the diff between real a rep contors was that it does say BMW on the wheel. i just have my doubts about this one because i find it hard to believe that he would be the only guy with anthrancite oem rims. | | | 03-18-2010, 04:41 PM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Pennsylvania, USA Posts: 24 | Maybe he painted them? | | | 03-19-2010, 02:48 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1995BostonGreenti Maybe he painted them? | +1, I've seen OEM rims painted before | | | 03-19-2010, 08:34 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Long Beach area Posts: 1,189 | Ask and find out what the offsets are. I ran ZHP wheels for a while and I know that the fronts are 18x8 with an offset of +47 and the rears are 18x8.5 with an offset of +51. I also do know that some BMW dealerships sell SOME OEM wheels with various finishes (from what I remember, I've seen regular silver, glossy black, and chrome.) So if he really did buy them at the BMW dealsership, then they might be real. The only way to really find out is to check the inside of the wheel behind the spokes and look for specs. Do they come with tires? -Randy EDIT: Here's a thread I just searched for with the wheel specs btw http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...tyle+135+specs __________________ 97 Jet Black 318ti Sport. At least one that I know of. | LMAO!! if they are factory bmw wheels, on the brakeside one of the spokes should have the last seven digits of the the wheel's bmw part number. so for example on those style 135s the front wheels should read on one of the inner spokes: 7 896 470 or 6 896 470 and for the rear 7 896 490 or 6 896 490 that should clear that up for you :-) if you do see that part number on there then they definitely got the wheels painted because that number refers to the alloy finish __________________ It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives. | | | 03-20-2010, 06:45 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Avondale, Az Posts: 203 | Quote: Originally Posted by b.u.ti-ful I just want to know how many of us clicked on this thinking it was about boobs?
