But back to my problem, my trunk won't open. I tried the keys and it locks and unlocks the doors when I turn the key in the trunk, but the trunk won't open. What am I not doing. Even had the guy at Pepboys try and he couldn't open it either. | | | 02-18-2007, 11:05 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | I guess returning it is out the question. Here's one thread about the hatch lock. http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13345 __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 02-18-2007, 11:07 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Philly Posts: 33 | I don't want to return it if it's something simple to replace. | | | 02-18-2007, 11:46 PM | #4 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | with the doors unlocked, push the button in (the keyhole on the hatch)and at the same time push down on the hatch itself. Sounds like you have a sticky latching mechanism. Once you get it open, hose it down with some good penetrating agent such as breakfree or PB blaster, wipe it clean and lube with a good grease. | | | 02-18-2007, 11:50 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Philly Posts: 33 | will try tomorrow am, thanx everone | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
