Contacted him about the ti through email. Just helping out another Boston seller post it up here. Hopefully get more hits and he can sell it quick. 1996 BMW 318Ti Sport Edition (M), 132K, Black manual This is a great car that’s fun to drive, and the only reason I am selling is because I am leaving the country. Also it’s the limited edition version of the 318Ti, which has the M sports package (M-Tech Sports Suspension, Color-coded Skirts and Front and Rear M-tech bumpers with integral Foglights, Sports Interior “M-tech" Leather Original Steering Wheel, Gear Knob & Handbrake, Black leather seats with cloth interior, 5-spoke alloy wheels, sun roof, etc) Please contact baikud@gmail.com. I am free to show the car most days of the week. http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/car/619701065.html (PICS inside thread) | | | 04-01-2008, 07:34 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | not a bad deal at all! i hope someone here buys it! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 04-01-2008, 11:39 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | looks good, not a "limited edition" but still pretty nice | | | 04-02-2008, 02:15 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Annapolis/College Park Posts: 337 | I've been looking for a nice ti...I think I'll be emailing this dude. Ieverything seems ok, would anyone here be willing to meet up with him and take it for a spin for me? You'd be compensated of course. He will post his email from the seller later on. Here is my brief recap. Helped out quinn to check out the ti last night around 8pm. Took a little while to find it at night and dark out. It was parked on one of the long street in Boston. I didn't contact the seller because it was parked on a public street and just wanted to do a quick driveby to look over the exterior. Front hood is flaking near front part and rear bumper is scratched up. Needs to be repainted and missing passenger side foglight. It has the ACS rear spoiler and OEM M3 lip in front with clear side markers 95-96 style. Need a little tlc to bring it back up to par. (I forgot it has the ///M on the hatch ) | | | 04-03-2008, 10:12 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Annapolis/College Park Posts: 337 | Stealth's assessment seems pretty spot-on. Here's the email the seller shot back to me: Quote: There are no mechanical problems that I am aware of. The car runs really smoothly. There are some cosmetic issues, such as few patches on the front hood where the top layer of the paint has come off, there is a minor dent on the back side, also the front bumper is a little lose.I have used it occasionally since I have moved to Boston, so most of the mileage came from highway driving when I was at Dartmouth and would drive to Boston to visit friends, I bought the car second hand, so there has been two owners, the interior looks really good given it's a 96 model, the car used to be garaged when I lived in Hanover, but has been outside the last two years. I have not been in any accident where repair was needed, i believe the previous owner had one accident, but I had the car checked before buying it. All in all I would say the car is in pretty good shape given that it's a 96 model. | I'm going to pass on the car for now, to look for one a bit closer and that won't need as much work from the get-go. Someone should be able to pick this up pretty cheap though. I am hoping to look at the blue one this weekend even though it has a slush box. __________________ Life is full of surprises | | | 04-08-2008, 04:49 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Boston, MA Posts: 1,152 | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
