Default Increasing performance?

Hey all,
Like i said in the other fourm I just have recived my new 318ti. Im suprised how fast it is considering the fact it hasnt been touched or even looked by a mechanic since it was born in 97'. I looked around under the hood, the battery has alot of acid build-up around it. So thats the first thing im going to do, is change the battery. Im looking for a good performance battery& spark plugs. Any suggestions?? Any other suggestions to increase my proformace? Im also thinking about getting a K&N filter...
please help

i'd go for the standard air filter, remove the baffle from the box and fog it. You could get a new exhaust system too but performance increase will be minimal, but it should sound nice

if u say the engine hasnt been touched, just swap that thing out, give that car some ballz and slap on an 3.2 liter m3 engine.
