My idea is i want to program the transponder in the key to my car then put that key in the box. What i intend to do is to swap transponder from the ebay key into my spare key, probram/sync transponder then swap back. My Question is how do i program/sync the transponder to the car's ewsII? is there just a sequence of key-turns/button presses? I have carsoft 6.5. Can i use that to program/sync? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. i havent been able to find any info googling. It's for the E36 Surely you must be able to program the key. How do the dealerships do it? | | | 01-15-2009, 12:43 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | I am pretty sure that the only way to align EWS/DME is using the GT1 computer. Programming the remote entry/alarm is the weird door-opening experience. They are two different chips. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 01-15-2009, 12:50 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | hmm never seen that key before. :-/ __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! Get a normal key cut (no transponder) and use that. the alarm and immobliser should be enough protection. | | | 01-20-2009, 04:26 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | You can probably just remove the transponder from the key, which still lets you use the key. At least on the key with the light, split the case apart and you can see the chip. You should be able to remove it pretty easily. All other keys the chip is moulded into the plastic. It's very small so I don't think you could zip-tie it, but you should have no trouble hiding it near the receiver ring. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
