No worries man. Misfire codes are typically stored until they're cleared with a scantool. Whether or not the CEL will go out on it's own, I'm unsure. A long time ago, I had an o2 sensor heater circuit code and the CEL was on. Once I installed a new o2 sensor, the CEL went off on it's own after a few miles, but the codes remained stored until I cleared them with my scantool. Your best bet is to fix the SAP, then buy rent or borrow a scantool and clear the codes. This will also clear the light, so after you've driven a hundred miles or so and given the monitors a chance to reset themselves, if the light remains off, you'll know you've fixed it. Fix your SAP already, it's easy
If you were a little closer, I'd do it for you.
