I was in the same situation 16 months ago. I blew the HG on my Ti at 157,000 miles. I had bought the car used only 4 months into it. I knew I didn't want to rebuild the M44 1.9, so I opted for the M52 swap. Couldn't be happier. The car is a totally different beast. Do you won't be sorry going with the inline 6.
