Default E46 M-Sport seats

I have purchased a pair of, very good condition, E46 M-Sport half leather seats. The mounting holes are 4mm wider apart, so a small (2.5mm)tickle with a die grinder was needed for the e-46 seats to drop onto the E36 mounting holes and front bolts. The electric seats each weigh 4kg's more than the manual sliders.
Will put up another photo after the electrics are wired up and install completed...

Nice! A friend of mine did the same. The seats are a little wider and press against the door panels, but not enough to hurt anything and they are farm more comfortable.

I watch for a pair of E46 sport manual seats out of a coupe. Lighter and just as comfortable.

Default E46 M-Sport seats installed

I had to die grind out slightly more, maybe 4mm each side, but replaced the very fine washers with thicker stainless items at the front holes, which covers the ground metal perfectly. The seats function 100% but they travel further forward than the standard slider. I hit the trans tunnel with the front edge of the slider when at full forward on the passanger side (and put a small tear in the carpet ). No touching on door side and the seat belt pre-tensioner just brushes the carpet when sliding forward... Damn comfortable and they really hold ya in there when cornering.. bliss
