Shouldn't be much more than that, if any, from your local dealer if you figure no shipping costs. Just a thought.

Phil I wish I had a dealer like yours! Here, dealer door handle $31 - Pelican $8.60. Average is 2.2x Pelican. But you can't put a price on "convenience".

I guess they figure if you can afford to live in Kalifornia and drive a BMW then you must be rich. Unfortunately BMW can't do a thing about dealers that mark-up from the suggested list price. I'd call around to some other dealers just to check, and also see if they offer a BMW CCA discount. I'll bet you can do a lot better than that. You must have, what?, 15 dealers in the Bay area? What a rip-off.

By the way, Pelican shows that part at $17.50

I got a spare door handle in the parts bin(got most of the door in the parts bin). Shipping via USPS would be 2.00... So I'd say 12.00 shipped.

Aha! I'd refer to that as a latch, I meant something more like #5.

That part's under $10 even on Realoem.com which is usually higher than dealer's MSRP. How do you break one of those? Anyway, it's got to be cheaper from a dealer since Pelican lists it for about $9, says it's special-order only, uses OEM in front of the part number so you know they have to order it from BMW, and won't accept any returns on it. Remember, no shipping at your local dealer.
