Default 1996 318ti auto trans

Hello all. My brother knew I was in the market for a good used car and approached his neighbor about his 1996 318ti. The neighbor is an older fellow and the first owner. After some talking the guy decided he would sell it because at this point it was just taking up room. The car is in excellent shape with only 60,000 original miles. You can tell the guy took care of it. The only thing that is killing me is that its an automatic. I drove the car and still really liked it but it was strange without shifting. The other thing its that its the base model (clothe seats & no rims). Do you think its worth 4,500?

That's just what I'm looking for, depending on where it is. If you don't want it, throw it my way and I'll throw you a c-note if I buy it.
