My lock button in the center console works but the trim that keeps it in place was gone when I bought the car. I bought a replacement button with trim on ebay, but I can't slip the trim on without disconnecting the wiring from the button. But the harness isn't coming out easily and there doesn't appear to be a release. Am I okay to yank this out or is there a release for the wiring that I'm not seeing here? | | | 05-24-2018, 06:31 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2013 Location: Seattle Posts: 513 | Yea man, like a tooth. Get a fingernail on the lip of the white part there and yank er' out! (a little wiggling with pressure will do it) Or you could get some string and attach one end to the White bit and the other end to the door handle then...... | | | 05-24-2018, 10:05 PM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: May 2018 Location: LA County Posts: 2 | Hahaha. Appreciate you! A final yank pried it loose. Behold the happy ending...(other cosmetic improvements still a work in progress) | | | 05-25-2018, 05:54 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2013 Location: Seattle Posts: 513 | Most of ours around here are a constant "work in progress".
