Hi to everybody I know this is 318Ti site and I have 318is and I am doing M50 swap. My question is does anybody know what are the items in picture. My 318 only has one engine port but what is the other one?
Neither one of what you have circled is a diagnostic port.. The diagnostic port for that I6 is on the left hand side directly left of the B in BMW...
The thing you have circled on the left is the air mass meter electrical connector.. Atleast that is what it looks like you have circled.. The throttle housing assembly is also right in that area... It could also be the throttle position sensor, or idle speed control valve.. Again, I'm not sure exactly what the circle is supposed to be highlighting.
The other plugs next to the brake reservoir are the plugs for the engine wiring harness and the other major electrical systems.
