VW MKIII Lip on ti

Hey, does anyone have a pic of a ti with a MKIII VW lip spoiler on it. I know a couple of the members put one on a while ago but I couldnt find the pics in the search. Ive been hanging around a Iowan German car forum that is mostly run by VWs and got the idea to try it myself. Its a cheap mod but Id like to see it anyway before I do it.

Don't they just use garden trim to make the lip?

the Euro VR lip ? if so i have one of those laying in my room right now, i should try to put it on my TI.

hah id think it would look strange too. the lip isnt quite mine so i cant cut it up or anything, but maybe i can try to do a mock up to see how bizzare it may look.

No its just a stock MKIII lip thats on all the Golfs and Jettas. Usually I would say the same thing about the lips but one guy whos a member here and on bf.c did it and it looked pretty good. I just cant find the pics. It makes the car look super low but Im assuming he had a drop too. He did it about a year ago and a few members tried it out so Im assuming someone here has pics of it.

hmm i didnt think american versions of the mk3s came with a lip, we might be thinking of the same lip tho. either way find some pics i would like to see this also.

I have put this lip on last year it came from an MK3 Jetta GLX VR6... IMO it looks awesome for 20$

Sorry but the car was pretty dirty in the two last pics.

Edit: The lip is made from tough OEM plastic so it doesn't break when it rubs and boy does it rub... hehe

i have a euro vr lip laying around thats my friends, i should try to mount it on to see how it looks in person.

You will need to cut approx 6-8" from each end and then you have to cut all of the retaining clips on the back. After this you drill 15-20 holes and put some stainless steel screws.

It takes time and is done with the bumper off the car...

Yeah, that looks hot. Is there a difference between a stock lip and the VR6 lip?

Yeah ,thats the one I was looking for. He just says its a old MKIII lip. Does anyone know if it has to be the VR6 lip?
