Default Lowering car, help needed.

I am lowering my car with H&R Sport springs, which apparently drop the car 1.4inches in the front and 1 inch in the rear.
I wanted to know if it would be bad to change my shocks/struts to normal bilstein shock/struts.
Obviously it would be best to change them to sport shock/struts, but I dont want to spend that money, especially considering that I drive very conservatively.
You guys think putting regular struts/shocks on a slightly lowered car will cause any damage?
Thanks for your help in advance.

They will do for the short term, I think I used Bilstein Blacks w/ Vogtland for 6months before they crapped out. I've been on HDs for a year on the stock MTechnik Springs(.6" drop IIRC) w/ BMW OE M Hardware, and they are now wearing out, going to go with Koni Sports next supported with Ground Control hardware.

They will work, but I can't say for sure how long. but you can get a set of Bilstein Blacks for less than 300 on ebay, while a sport/hd is 450ish and Konis are 585$. So you can save up for better kit while running the blacks.
