Anybody have any tips that would help me access the little 4 inch rear speakers? What to pull out, what NOT to pull out? Also, here's a really cool head unit I'm lookin into buying that I think would look unreal in the ti dash.... JVC Arsenal KD-AR560. If I recall it is just a matter of pulling down the carpet on the sides. I think there is a small hook towards the rear. If you have a CD player you will need to remove it before pulling down the carpet on the left. Then there are a few hex screws that need to be removed. It is pretty easy. It is also easy to drop some of the hex screws so I would recommend removing them slowly. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 01-31-2005, 01:15 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Tyler, TX Posts: 1,022 | I know you have to pull the carpet down on the side. One thing to keep in mind is that the speakers have a weird setup for mounting and you will have to come up with your own mounting method (I just drilled some screws into the plastic). | | | 01-31-2005, 12:04 PM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Central Coast NC Posts: 17 | Thanks all.... as soon as it's not freezing and blowin' - I'll tackle the spkr replacement/modification. Dang if eastern NC ain't gettin the cold, wet, wind thing this year!! I'm really stoked on the 318ti. I got this for my daughter, we drive a 323it wagon and I'm finding myself sneaking away in the 318ti every chance I get. I'm starting to get crazy thoughts about selling my wagon and getting another 318 with a 5 speed, maybe dropping the 6 cyl in it... OR?.... | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
