I have "heard" that an E28 differential will bolt up to the 318ti frame aslong as you swap the diff. cover out, is this true? Has anyone done this?

I am looking to get either a 3.25 or 3.46 LSD from an E28, but need to know if it mounts up. I am aware of changing out the output flanges of the diff., but I really want to know once and for all if this is a possible swap as far as dimensions go.

TIA,

Kiley
