When I get depressed I buy cars, and I was sad and alone. The ti made me happy and when she got back to a 98 ti over an 86 325e she was happy :-) second one I was watching go on ebay and couldn't stand seeing it go cheap, so I bid it up, not intending to buy it... unfortunatley I bid it up and noone else bid... so I have 2 now :-) | | | 08-07-2006, 05:58 AM | #17 | Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: New Zealand Posts: 34 | Brought mine from a independent car dealer and had 4 to choose from, a green one (it was spoken for), silver one (didn't like the trim on the bottom), black one (it had a horrible colour interior) and blue one, also had several sedans but they didn't look right . Just got back from the workshop and several things fixed under warrenty, now the seat doesn't move sideways when cornering, new ignition barrel, checked fuel sender as it was reading wrong when the tank is full, all for free | | | 08-07-2006, 01:46 PM | #18 | Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: London Posts: 79 | i bought mine off a mechanic, who only had it for 2 weeks. so it's either mechanically sound, or he knows of tricks on how to hide problems. eitherway, it's great to drive, no problems so far, and i love it and it's a lot better than the previous one i almost bought, which was a base model for the same price __________________ -Impyboy | | | 08-07-2006, 02:34 PM | #19 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Vierra Fl Posts: 19 | bought mine..... Went to test drive a different car then saw this blue bmw on the other end. Test drove it then put a deposit down,i honestly bought it for the color & it was still a hatchback which i liked. I picked her up on the day i was coming back from a red sox yankees game in the bronx. Still remember that whole day. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 08-07-2006, 08:59 PM | #21 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Pittsburgh, PA Posts: 27 | Found it with AutoTrader. I was assuming that since I was buying it from him I wouldnt have to worry about mechanical problems for a while if I serviced it right, I was wrong. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 08-24-2006, 04:14 AM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Jacksonville, Florida Posts: 322 | I got mine from an individual dealer. It was a trade-in and they were letting the car go for a decent price because normally that dealer sells stuff like Ferarri's, Lambo's, old Vettes and the "higher end" BMW's and Porches. | | | 10-13-2006, 05:26 PM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: MD/VA/DC Posts: 834 | my frist Ti bought from ebay second Ti from a friend third Ti from a friend | | | 10-13-2006, 11:03 PM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Westfield, IN Posts: 1,335 | i got my car from my uncle __________________ Greg M42 Club member 186 WTB: HELLROT RED CLUB SPORT 95 ti sold but staying in the family. | | | 10-14-2006, 12:13 AM | #28 | Member Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: michigan Posts: 46 | i bought mine form a private seller after he listed it on ebay.Auction ended with no winner(didnt meet the limit) ,i contacted him ,we negotiated a price ,and after that went and picked it up from PA . | | | 10-17-2006, 02:37 AM | #29 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT!
