Default lowering springs

If I buy lowering springs, do I need new shocks to install them? It's a dumb question yes, but I need to know.

I know you can do it with the stock sport shocks. You'll end up with less than optimal ride quality and you probably need new shocks anyway at this point. The amount of work to do the job is not ridiculous, but it's certainly easier if you do it all at once instead of springs now and shocks later.

Highly recommended especially if you don't have sport shocks already. You will blow your shocks in a matter of time. Like bllumad said, might as well do it all at once.

I got lowering springs from Bavauto.com for $200, paid three times that for the shocks though. You need to take out the shocks to get the springs out for the front anyway so just replace them.

Agree with above, wait (patience) and replace the springs and struts at one time.
I waited for a sale at BavAuto for the Bilstein Sport shocks and got the H&R springs from TireRack.

Gb has been going on at Bfc for a while: ($470 for Bilstein Sports)

buy the springs then save for struts/shocks. physically stock shocks are not good for lowering springs as the piston in the shock is shorter in shocks made for lowered cars.
