Unhappy Question on headlight care

What can I do to get rid of the haze on the plastic headlight covers? They are beginning to turn yellowish. I can take my fingernial and scratch it away so it seems like something on the surface. Is there any sort of solution or mixture I can spray on and hose or scrub off?

Meguires plastic cleaner and plastic polish. Not cheap, but works wonders on headlights as well as convertable top windows and plastic lenses for the instrument cluster.

I polish mine when I wax the car. I still have the originals on from 1998 and they look clear.

RainX makes a polish or you can get a rubbing compound from TAP that is made for plastics. Fine white fiberglass rubbing compoud works well too.
