Default Did you get...

Forza 3? I picked up my reserve yesterday and did nothing but race all last night. I actually enjoy the cockpit view, it shows enough of the track so I can see what's going on and still look at the full interior of the car.

Yup, played a bit last night. Got through the first season, lol, achievements are super easy.

Cockpit view is better if you adjust it so that the camera is a bit further back. Go to the multiscreen menu and do this:

multiscreen on
mode host
channel 0 will do
view center
degrees hidden 0 or just play around with it
degrees between screens 62 or whatever you want

I haven't gotten any BMWs yet but I really want to buy an M1.

That's one thing I love is that the achievements are ridiculously easy. I went and got all the painting and decals ones last night, minus the selling a decal. I gotta get something race-spec so I can "create a tune", lol.

I'll have to try the cockpit thing, I was digging the stock setup though. What was your first car you chose? I got the Ford Fiesta.

I went with the Fiesta too, it's a great little car.

I went back and bought a Fit for the Japanese challenges. I do like how you don't "unlock" cars to buy and that they are all available from the beginning.

FTW! now I really want to buy it

I was talking with someone on another forum who had it, he says the 370Z has a temperature gauge in the car and it will actually change depending on which track you're on, that's attention to detail

My brother has the PSP Gran Turismo and it's actually pretty fun. It felt way more "real" than GT5 prologue I played at my friends place. Obviously though, the PS3 graphics are phenomenal compared to the PSP and the 360.

A livery I'm working on for a Mk1 GTI cup car.

Anyone interested in having a little BMW spec series of our own?

I got the limited edition of the game, I have the forza 3 keychain on the same ring as my ti key. I love cockpit view combined with the 360 racing wheel, it's seriously the best racing game I've ever played.

I started with the Citroen 2 door hatchback, which was pretty ****, I won a bunch of cars, used an Alfa Romeo for awhile before I bought my first car, an e30 M3, that's now an A class beast and I'm working on an e36 M3. Not sure what I'll do after that but I really want an M1, they're kinda expensive though, 100k+, won't be able to afford that for awhile so I'll probably do an e46 M3 or a 135i. This game is awesome.

EDIT: Thanks for the multiscreen tip spidertri, I can actually see my rearview mirror now!

The cockpit view is really stunning, they paid a lot of attention to detail. I was really impressed that at the start up of a race, you can hear the turbo spool up and the BOV on my Evo. Great game

So I needed an R3 car for some races, looked at the leaderboards and saw the Viper ACR on the top of a lot of them. I've wanted an excuse to buy that car and this was a good reason. Turns out you can swap in the nascar engine and awd...LOL. That car is ridiculous! I'm loving this game more and more.

Oh and if you see a car at the top of the auction house for cheap and little time left it's worth it to scroll down the list to see if there is one with a cheaper buyout.

I went to buy the ACR and got in a bidding war with some guy, soon the price was up around 80k, I scrolled down the list and found a stock ACR with a buyout of 40k, needless to say, I retracted my bid on the first one.

My son got it, too. His XBOX 360 is suffering from RROD, though. Luckily, I let him use mine. We've had 4 RRODs ... once on mine, now three on his. We also got him a new shirt from thinkgeek.com:
