anyone else have it yet?
im pretty dissapointed in its lackings.
for starters only a z4, z4m, 135i, e92m2 and the new m5 are available new.
theres only like 4 or 5 more bimmers in that game that can only be purchased used. and im still waiting for those to come to the used car lot to buy them. only cars i ran across so far is a turbo 2002 and a e46 m3 gtr which were out of my price range at the time.
NO ENGINE SWAPS! cmon polyphonic forza had it in forza 2 but you dont in gt5?

theres a few other stupid things but there is a long list of cars which is nice even tho about 30% can only be purchased. anyone else have it yet?

I have it, logged about 300 miles only, and so far I can understand your frustrations however it exceeds in more areas than it lacks in. Not to mention I play it with a cockpit, that helps make it more enjoyable.

The type of racing I'm more interested in is Rally, and this is what I have been waiting for. It is indeed fun, however it would be nice if you could slide off the road farther instead of hitting the wall 5 feet off the road. I will be waiting for Dirt 3 but for now, gt5 is by far the best realistic simulator I have driven ever.



I'm upgrading to the Logitech G27 when funds are available and not going to the Ti. I need the clutch and H pattern shifter, it will seal the deal. Not to mention I will do the E-brake mod, and upside down pedals mod.

damn your a little more into it than i am. the game is by far a better "simulator" than forza. the way cars handle and steer is beyond real. but in my opinion i was happy with forzas simulations and gladly accepted engine swaps in exchange. nothing crazy. just whats normal s52 swaped e36 sr/rb swapped nissans and im happy

or forza3.. onced i checked the bmw's in gt5 i regretted having sold my xbox for the ps3 jus for gt5 lol.. there was e30,e36,e46, and e92 m's int f3.. i think the e9x was in there dont remember. but i had fun with the e36... haa i had a 700hp e46 i couldnt control..

As a fan of both Forza and GT, I gotta say, Forza wins hands down for me. It has less cars yet a better selection, damage modeling, a better upgrade system... I could go on and on here. That's not to say I'm not enjoying GT5, I just don't understand how Turn 10 can release 3 forza games in the space of time it takes Polyphony Digital to release two GT games, and still Forza is the better game. I bet PD spends a lot, if not all, of their game dev time making pretty car models...

I've heard they aren't even all that pretty, some of them look like a photograph, but other ones still look like they did on the PS2

I'm not getting the game at all. I'm bitterly disappointed. I first played Gran Turismo on the PS2 with GT3, then with GT4. It seems nothing much has changed except for upgrades in graphics and more cars.

I still get get the fact that cars still respond like bumper cars back in GT1 when it first came out. Like come on guys, lift your game. I will NEVER get another GT game until they sort this out.

I'm enjoying F1 2010 much much more!

I think it has some good things to it, like being able to see the interior of the car, the graphics, that's pretty much all I can think of.

I just got the game so I plan on playing it later today but will really look forward to Forza 4 with kinect.

Only the 200 premium cars have interior views, the other 800 standard cars do not. Apparently, the standard cars were just ported from GT4.

Oh I thought that was for all cars. The only thing I really wish they had done differently was make the graphics better.

Whats up with the lack of damage modeling too? The commercials say it has it but I have yet to experience it during the game, despite my numerous crashes. Is it only for a select few types of cars? This is just another reason why Forza is miles ahead of GT.
