Hi Guys, I just had new fuel pump installed. I killed the old one by running out of gas way to much. However installed new pump and replace the battery and she will not start. I can hear her trying to turn over but never started. Prior to the fuel pump going out there were no problems with her at all. I still have power through the car, so I'm not sure if its the starter. I would appreciate any suggestions. #BimmerGirl Last edited by Bavarian Kola; 02-03-2016 at 06:02 AM. If not check your fuel pump fuse. If it runs, I'd look at the fuel filter it may be clogged | | | 02-03-2016, 03:28 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Oct 2015 Location: Slidell, Louisiana USA Posts: 89 | +1 on the fuel filter. Could also be fuse or relay. The pump should run for about 2 seconds when the key is turned to the run position. This is to prime the system. If you do not hear the pump run, you'll have to check power at the pump while someone cycles the key. Let us know what you find. | | | 02-03-2016, 11:19 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Did you put the wires on the fuel pump correctly? Also like everyone else said check all fuses. John | | | 02-08-2016, 12:28 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2016 Location: Compton, California Posts: 2 | Stater now. Fuel pump resolved .. Hi Guys, Thanks for your help. Everything is good with fuel pump. My fuel gage is working properly. Turns out the fly wheel on the stater is stuck and now all I hear is a clicking noise when I try to start her, I'm getting it taken out to be tested tomorrow. Hopefully I can get it rebuilt fingers crossed and prayers up! xoxoxo bimmergirl | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
