Default replacing rear emblem

my rear emblem is starting to loose color, i have another, just wondering what ill find underneath the screw covers on the hatch. i assume i have to take that off since my emblem seems to be screwed on from the inside, and thus the interior panel has to be lifted to replace. anyone done this able to comment?

You can just pry it right off from the outside. I used an old credit card, worked perfectly. You might need new emblem grommets though.

Yep just held on by rubber grommets. I use a 4" bakers spreading knife to get them off. Pop right off.

I used nylon straps from our shipping department at work. I fed it right up the middle (6 o'clock to 12 o'clock) then wiggled it out of the grommets. Worked like a charm.

I took a chainsaw and just cut around it, then used some Elmers glue and scotch tape to put it back together with a new one.

I thought you meant you were filming a driving video with a GoPro and it flew off in a turn or slide or something. Hahahahaha
