Unless you want to tweak it I guess. Not used to working on MAF's...too used to Chrylsers without them lol. | It's not only a matter of whether they are 0-5V sensors. They do not give equal values at equal airflows within that range. Meaning one expects a linear signal, and the other an exponential signal. You can't just splice one into the harness and get it to work well. The ECU will **** the bed. | | | 10-14-2005, 02:24 PM | #17 | Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Belgium Posts: 42 | I don't think a MAF sensor is required in order to use a piggyback unit like Apexi's SAFC-II, it can also be used in combination of the default AFM according to Apexi ... | | | 10-17-2005, 01:04 AM | #18 | Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Brooklyn, NY Posts: 37 | But the stock AFM sucks ass its like a 2 inch squere hole with mechanical flapper, = ****ty airflow especialy for boost | | | 04-22-2006, 03:13 AM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Portugal - Lisboa Posts: 205 | What are the performance gains of this mod? __________________ Portuguese 318ti MODS: Staggered M Kontours; Mtec Side Trim with M3 badges; Mtec Steering wheel with Airbag; M3 Modified Shift Lever; M3 Leather Shift Knob, Leather Centre Arm Rest; Euro Clear turn signals; M3 Electric and Heated Side Mirrors; Cat replaced by straight pipe; Mtec Rear Bumper; E36 M3 Front Brakes with EBC Drilled and Slotted Rotors and EBC Red Stuff Pads; Vader Seats. But a likely 5 HP is possible though... It's more of an important mod for turbo-ed and supercharged engines | | | 05-03-2006, 04:29 AM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | ZeroG- Was there anything else you had to change out when you upgraded to the Euro MAF? Specifically for the DASC is what I'm interested in. I know that the TechniqueTuning stage3 upgrade uses a different fuel regulator. Are you using the fuel regulator that came with the DASC kit, or did you have to upgrade it to work with the new piggyback controller? How hard was the air/fuel ratio controller to program? Did it require dyno time? | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
