I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with this problem... or as had this problem as well. The light that (is supposed) turns on when the hatch opens in my ti doesn't. The switch was replaced when it was under warranty, and so I figured that that was the problem again after inspecting the bulb filament (which was ok). So I ordered a new switch for the hatch door ($17) from the local dealer... had a little trouble taking the old one out... but easy fit for the new one... anyways.. still won't work. Later that same day... (today!) I went to Pep Boys to buy new bulbs... install the new ones hoping that it would finally work... and still nothing. What is the problem? Oh yeah.. I also checked and changed the fuse in the box... No.33. Still nothing. Can anyone help me???

Also another subject... my Heat and A/C quit in the past few months... kinda just gradually got mild from what it was supposed to be. Does anyone know if that plug thing behind the radio would affect both the a/c and heat? or just the heat.... anyways... that's all I got for now. Please help if you can.. thanks

My rear hatch light sometimes does not come on when it should. I simply press the switch again by hand-that usually does it for me.

No idea on the other problem without personal inspection.

Hey Jim... I found the prob... the wire that feeds the hatch light was diconnected from the male harness... seemed to have corroded off.. the copper was all greenish blue at the tip. Anyways.. thanks for the reply.... about your switch though... I think I know why it's not working all the time. If you read the ti manual it talks about a feature for the hatch light... one can turn off the light when the hatch is open by simply pulling the switch out further. You're switch might not stop short of the extended pull now... just a guess. I have a new switch now... so if you want I can send you my old working one, free shipping as well. Shouldn't cost too much.

I'm fine with it, but thanks.

I have to have the trunk lid cut-up and re-painted when the spoiler goes on anyway, so perhaps I'll deal with it at that point...
