Brake Pads and Clear Corners

Want to buy clear corners (not the cheap ebay kind) and front brake pads I would prefer Hawks HPS, Pagid or another low dust good performance type. Reply with any information.

Is there a higher quality clear corner available? Mine are from ebay and seem to work fine. Just curious.

Not the ones from ebay that look like Cyclops, sorry there are some from ebay that are as good as it gets.

I just bought a set from understeer. They seem to be pretty damn close to an identical match to the original pair that I had on the car from the dealer. I think any difference that I see has more to do with the old plastic being faded.

I got Akebono ProACT Ceramic pads from TireRack (UPS ground took 1 day) and put them on this morning... wow they're so amazing. My OEM compound pads melted to my rotors so I had to sand the remnants off but these things can take some heat without fading.

my clear corners are from the factory...my driver side orange one got busted and so insurance paide for that to be replaced and then i just bought the passenger side clear

took pnoskers advice and ordered some Akebono ProACT Ceramic pads from TireRack. any good guides on how to install these myself or tips on your install Pnosker?

PelicanParts has a good guide. Basically here's what you do:

Passenger wheel goes off, on the back side of the caliper remove the 2 plastic caps, use 7mm hex to remove the screw things. Use a large screwdriver to pry the caliper loose and squeeze the piston down as hard as you can so that you can fit the new pads in. Remove the caliper, swap the pads while greasing the contact points (these pads are very silent when greased... make sure to attach the shim). Install in reverse order.

Exactly the same for driver side except your wear sensor needs to be moved by unclipping it from the old inside pad and swapping to the new one. I suggest you unhook it by taking the sensor box (plastic, located on the car) and opening it and unclipping the sensor... swapping... then re-clipping. It's very easy. Also I suggest sanding down the old rotors./

Hawk HPS are excellent brake pads, little noise and little dust. I have been pleased since I put them on about 6000 miles ago.
