Default Check Engine Light

Need some advice for my "baby".

Check engine light comes on at darned near every long red light...no, I can't run lights as a solution....

Wants to stall. Give it more gas, all is fine.
Been told to have it "tuned up"...but the advice giver treats me like a dumb chick.

Highway has no problems.

Oxygen sensor? Other ideas?

Need a good Denver mechanic with correct tools for BMWs.

A few years ago I had a coolant temp sensor slowly go bad. Manifested itself by car running (smelling) rich, had to give it gas to keep running. Eventually became undrivable. Checked the engine codes via the trick that is listed elsewhere on the forum (check engine codes by counting the blinking lights), and it told me to replace the sensor. Good as new.

Hi Michelle,
Sounds like we need to get under the hood of your car and figure this out. I'm free on Sunday's. PM me and we can set up a time to figure it all out.

I have a OBDII code reader if that helps. I am willing to help out as well.
