Default 1997 318ti Alpineweiss Mtech Sport

Quick Part out of 1997 318ti M-Tech Slicktop - Local Pick Up only. (Sorry to busy to package or send out parts)

I rebuilt this car for my son, tested at an AutoX, gave it to him, only to have it hit 3 days later while parked. Front end and drivers side damage. It has been sitting for a few months and now I need to move it.

Full blue fabric/black leather interior.

Rear bumper intact. Strong Auto tranny.

Debating on whether to sell M44 engine or keep as a spare. Runs smooth and strong. Still starts and runs, but no cooling system as it was damaged when it was hit. As it was parked, the engine was not started. Will video it running before I pull it. Water pump, thermostat, plastic pipes, cooling hoses, fuel lines, emission hoses and belts all replaced. Clean with no leaks.

16" style 42 wheels and General tires.

4.45 open diff. Intact Hatch, parcel shelf, pretty much everything except the front end, hood and radiator/AC condenser.

Sorry, standard rear TI bumper. It was replaced before I bought it.

Two week part out then goes to scrap yard. Sorry, again, I am not set up to ship, wish I could, just no room or time. Please don't ask. Just setting expectations.

I am located in Sacramento, CA

Thanks!

You can get decent rebuilt alternators from your local parts store and not have to wait for something to ship (Auto Zone, Advanced Auto parts, O'Reillys, Pep Boys, etc.)

Just PM'd you; looking for M-Tech side trim and some interior bits. I'll be in Sacramento March 27 & 28 and can pick 'em up then.
Thanks, Geoff

Geoff, Side trim is spoken for. The rear side windows are yours. See you then

Does this have the standard dash clock? (not the OBC version) If so, is it working well?

I am willing to wait a month or longer as I realize you don't want to ship stuff, but that is small and light so maybe in a few weeks you'd be willing to send it?

PM me if you like, or let me know you are not willing to deal. I understand not having time to ship stuff...

Thank you!

It will be towed tomorrow. I'll be working on the Z tomorrow, but you are welcome to come by if you figured out what the new to you TI needs.

Dang, I thought it said towed on Thursday morning...Reading fail. I unfortunately haven't picked up the car yet. The seller is really dragging his feet, I don't think I have ever had this much problems buying a car private party.

No worries, I stowed anything of value as spares. Find me when you are ready.

Filled the interior with spare body parts collected over the years. So cleaned up my supply shed as well.

Yup, and this one was a Slicktop. Even rarer...

I see 1-2 TIs show up in local scrap yards every other month. I used to see lotsa E30s for a few years at the yards, now, not so many. Perhaps the TIs will go that same route.

I am coming in at a good time, I guess. Hopefully seller is available today. I'm starting to get irritated.
