Default ICV Questions...

Recently I dove under the hood of my recently-purchased 318ti because it had a rough idle. I did some research and the culprit was my Idle Control Valve. I cleaned it and put it back together to then noticed there was a hole in the valve and it didn't seal back up properly. I know I need a replacement part but are there any aftermarket examples that anyone can recommend? Bosch is $194.99 and Genuine BMW is $313.00

Thank you guys.

This is really "Cheeze Wiz" but when you boost a 318 over 20psi the ICV blows apart. I fixed it with a stainless zip tie and JB Weld quick around the sealing surface, never had a issue since. There are no ICV replacements I'm aware of. Maybe try to fix your current one they are not very hard to clean then glue back together if it falls apart on you.

Best of luck, John S

I've found a few replacement parts out there and its really mangled. Unfortunately I'll have to buy a new one. Thank you for your insight.
