Here's my car. I've been trying to remove the spoiler on my 318ti due to its loss of clearcoat over the years. Also was curious what it would look like without the wing on it too. I have removed the two bolts securing the ends of the wing together but still can't remove it. What am I missing? Thank you guys | | | 02-15-2015, 07:05 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | 3M double sided tape all the way around the leading edge. If you want to sell it...I'm a buyer! __________________ Sean 1995 Active Last edited by teetime4one; 02-15-2015 at 07:10 PM. | | | 02-15-2015, 07:31 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Jan 2015 Location: New Hampshire, USA Posts: 73 | Quote: Originally Posted by teetime4one 3M double sided tape all the way around the leading edge. If added later, 3M tape or windshield glue. Both of my white ti's do not have a spoiler. (Black ones too.) I do have two spoilers I will likely add to my Cali and maybe my wifes white 95. I'll take a pick of the white 97 later this afternoon. __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! One had the bolts intact...one had them broken off. I used the later on my black car. It is held in place with about 25 feet of 3M double sided tape. lol You can probably slide a heavy fishing line under an edge and work it back and forth in order to free it from the hatch. Pulling it will undoubtedly break it in two. I've seen this happen to another member...he couldn't give it away afterwards. Be creative, it'll take some time. That spoiler has been attached to your car for a long time. __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 02-16-2015, 06:19 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! Let me know if you want to sell the spoiler. I could use one with the bolts intact. Thanks! The bumpers are stock, one is an MTech and the other a base bumper. If you mean the impact strips, they are stock. If your white ones become available, I'm also interested. Front and rear? Also, it seems to be a rare item, so it will stay on | | | 02-27-2015, 07:04 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Good move!
