Default [SOLD!] Dinan e36 M3/4/5

I figured I'd post this up here for a little before posting on bf.c. I recently picked up this Dinan M3 sedan from the_law on bf.c. It's an incredible car although I'm finding I still enjoy driving the ti more (as long as I don't have to pass anyone).

My primary reason for selling though is that my insurance company initially gave me a very reasonable quote for it. 2 weeks after adding it to my policy they notified me that they misquoted and my rates will change. By change, they mean they want 3 times as much as they originally quoted. I enjoy this car but have no desire to pay the hefty premium, especially when I've still got my ti to drive!

Anyways, about the car... it's a 1998 Dinan M3 sedan with 5 speed and 111k miles. It has heated seats and a full leather/all black interior. The exterior color is cosmos black (not that you can make out the sparkles in the paint with all the pollen).

-Dinan S3 package
--includes powerdyne supercharger and free flow exhaust
--koni shocks, larger sway bars, reinforced shock tower mounts (although it's missing the strut bar for whatever reason)
-fan delete mod
-moshimoto electric fan
-aluminum radiator
-custom mounted alpine speakers in the front door (5.25 or 6.5" I'll check when I can, very clean install)

I'm not sure what the clutch is, the previous owner believes it's the hybrid M3/M5 setup but couldn't verify. Occasionally it does have noticeable flywheel clatter

Here are a few interior shots from the previous owner.

I'll post a photobucket album with many more detailed photos tomorrow.

Now for the bad, the car was hit in a parking lot in the front. The previous owner replaced the hood (which is now primer grey), the very front of the passenger side front fender is damaged and the bumper cover sits a little off. The damage isn't very noticeable until up close but I'll be sure to post several detailed pictures of it.

It also has tire rub issues sometimes. The tire treads are in good shape but there are noticeable rub marks on them. The fenders are slightly rolled but it's not enough to accommodate running 245s in the back with a 35mm offset. The tire rub occurs when taking turns hard or carrying 500+lbs of passenger/extra weight.

Otherwise the car is in fantastic shape and runs great. I've driven it between Pax River MD to Quantico VA and Fredericksburg VA several times. I'll be changing the engine, tranny, and diff oil soon as well as replacing the current rubber radiator hoses with silicone ones.

As stated, I'll have an album of detailed photos posted up soon. I'm looking to get 12k for this. I'll also swap out the primer grey hood with my ti's CF hood if you're interested. I can meet up in the Northern VA/DC areas and in MD from southern MD to Bmore.

Additional photos can be found at

I also have a sub/power amp and Thule bike rack for this that I'll include for free if you're interested.

Thanks. I have second thoughts about my decision to let it go whenever I look at the car...

If I end up keeping it I'll tint them. I had to take off the tint for MD inspection since the state makes it kind of a pita to legally keep it on your car.

I forgot I had this thread up. The car sold a few months ago. I never had it dyno'd but it was running the stock Dinan supercharger setup with 6psi. According to their website it's good for about 340hp/307lb-ft of torque. Unfortunately that's all at redline with the centrifugal supercharger but it was a pretty fun car to scoot around in none the less.
