Default Manual Swap Q's

Hey guys how much do you think it would cost me to complete a manual swap

I found a local guy who is willing to sell me a getrag with shifter, cylinders, hoses, pedals...everything except for a few bolts, flywheel and a clutch for $280.

Any insight??

$280 is a good start if it includes the transmission plus that extra stuff. You can find a stock, used flywheel for cheap ($50 or so) on car-part.com. A new clutch on eBay is about $150, or some of the used flywheels from the junkyard will come with the matching used clutch. If you plan to keep your car for a number of years, it's a good idea to put a brand new clutch and clutch parts in there while it's all apart.

What year is your car, and do you have to do OBD/emissions inspections? Doing just the manual swap on an OBDII car will trip the cel, and a lot of inspection stations will not pass it. Really depends on your local laws.

You can get the computer repogrammed, but not every shop is going to know how to do that.
