not to thrash your thread but, the springs you want, is this going to lower your car or just a better suspension than stock?

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

Lower is not always better, but check www.understeer.com. Last time I compared prices, his were lowest. If he doesn't list the part for the ti, email him. He can probably get them.

i need race springs as well (cash in hand too). actually i just need the rears. i have an M52 swap so i have front M3 H&R Race springs. i am willing to buy the whole setup.

also i have a full set of Vogtland Sport Springs. I loved these springs but the conversion has forced me to get rid of them. if you have a H&R Race springs and think they are too low/harsh, I will trade you for my Vogtlands, pay shipping to you, pay for the shipping of your springs to me, and add an extra $50 for the trouble.

these springs dropped the car about 1.4" all the way around. it was about 1.3" with Bilstein Sports and 1.4" with Tokicos.

ok.. im pissed..... so i bought these Damn Jamex springs.( the ones in the above post ) and they suck . my car is like 4-5 in off the ground and i bottom out on everything expecially since my roads around here suck to . all im sayin is that if you want to ride low or bottom out on speed bumps then ill sell you some springs. and its only the front the back is ok but gosh i caint do anything fast anymore.. so if someone will reference me to some stiffer springs id be so happy. but i do like the stance of my car . it does look awesome to be low like it is its only when you drive it when its bad.

so .. to make up for the SOFT springs im gonna go to my local parts store and buy some spring spacers and lift my car to level it out just a lil bit so it will make the spring stiffer and so i can drive over speed bumps .

and ill try to post the ride difference and pics of before and after..

unfortunatley, thats the characteristic of a lowered 318ti. mines the same over bumpy back roads, but bloody excellent on A roads. its the basic rear suspension. annoying but you get used to it, remember to lift off over bumps.

I think the lesson learned here is when performing spring/shock upgrades to your Ti, only 2 options:
Bilstein or Koni shocks
H&R or Eibach (which is discontinued) springs
All German manufactured and high quality construction.
I made the mistake of "going cheap" the first time around by using KYB GR2 fron shocks, which bottomed-out after 1 month (not designed for lowering) and VERY harsh ride from the beginning. I switched them to Koni sport adjsutables. The rear KYBs are okay, I did have to replace one as it crapped out (still under warranty, got free one). If I had bought Konis or Bilstein shocks all around the first time, I didn't have to spring for another set or half set as soon as i did and end-up paying more; labor, material, etc.
Sachs would not be abd choice either, especially when they offer a whole kit/set for less than $800, sometimes.
Good Luck.

Ground control and TCKline make good suspension products as well. But realistically, would the OP be happy with any kit if the issue is rubbing over bumps? Any Ti that is lowered is going to rub over bumps if you don't go really slow over the bumps... I just hope I can make it past the speed bumps in front of my neighborhood.
