Default door panel top edge repair

I finely repaired my driver door panel the other day. Some of the broken plastic supports were roughed up with sand paper and then pieced back together with fiberglass cloth and rosin. this worked pretty well. I used duramix to put them back onto the panel. It's kinda like JB weld. On top edge where it meets the window was pretty flexy so I wrapped it in, do I confess?, duct tape. Two layers really firmed up the edge so that when I put it on it felt tight and didn't move around. You can't see the at all now that it is together. I only worry what the next owner is going to think of me, not if, but when they have to remove the panel.

I used some thin sheet metal on mine. I cut it to the same shape as the top of the door panel then Gorilla glued in place. It seems to work great and is not flimsy anymore.

Bad spellers of the world untie!!! I use rosin on my violin bow and resin with the fiberglass. Tough crowd. I could see where a strip of metal would have worked nice.
