Default FS: 1997 auto 154,712mi issues DFW $3500

The high mileage is from my wife's 92mile round-trip commute, trips to Big Bend, and to see family in New Mexico.

I'll include the maintenance code reader, owner's manual, repair invoices, etc. I probably have some BMW filters too. You are welcome to the box and papers from the new stereo.

Green, Sunroof, Hatchback.

New stereo head unit, plugs, wires, battery, other maintenance, replaced radiator, cat (after 4 cats, the next mechanic said it was an intake leak), new tires. I have scrubbed and cleaned interior with a Rug Doctor (...always leave it cleaner than you found it...)

Issues: 1. Not passed inspection, worst case scenario would be a valve job (serious buyer is welcome to contact my mechanic). 2. Minor damage to hood and nose-panel, could be done at home, but beyond my interest. 3. Expected signs of age such as dry exterior black trim and some headliner sag, decals showing age, etc.

I could get this price as a rebate from the state when buying a new car, but then the TI would be destroyed. Also I am selling and buying a house soon and don't want to finance anything until after the mortgage.

...let's just say the smartest person I know was conned. We all have our talents.

I got about as much sleep that night as when my carbon fiber bike climbed off the balcony, down a tree, and rolled away on its own. (I thought it was happy, but I guess I just missed the signs.)

those may be holes from something used to pull dents out of the hood. I hope when I take mine in for that work they use something that is easier to paint over/fix.

...this was done in a parking lot for cash and not finished.

Anyway, it certainly could be fixed without too much effort, either with the original body panels or the aftermarket ones waiting in my garage...by someone else. With all the replacements and the expensive German mechanics we have come to feel irrationally negative about this car. It's a shame because we still love the way it drives. I am sure the next owner will approach it with a fresh attitude.

I've camped with a ninja 250 loaded with hard cases and a passenger. It worked, but I don't think I'll ride another motorcycle with less than 500cc. The Ruckus looks fun, but I don't have a ranch. If I were to get a little scooter it would be the traditional around town tires and locking under-seat storage type. Unfortunately, I don't deserve any toys right now.
