Can anyone confirm? | | | 04-01-2012, 09:29 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Los Angeles, CA Posts: 1,464 | #14 & #15 look like the airbag hardware. I believe what you're looking for is #11 | | | 04-01-2012, 10:03 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: miami Posts: 232 | I have #11 and those are being used to attach the door handle to the door panel. | | | 04-01-2012, 10:27 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Be careful about the length. One is longer than the other and if you reverse them it will hit the window mechanism and bend the screw. Ask me how I know. Nevermind, don't ask. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 04-01-2012, 10:31 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: miami Posts: 232 | I only see one length though? The top one looks to me about 30mm. The bottom maybe 15mm? __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 04-01-2012, 10:58 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | On my car (95) the torx screw is the one on the bottom of the handle, the phillips head is the one at the top behind the plate. __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. The 25 is going to be the top. The 12 will be the bottom. I'm guessing it's 12mm and 25mm. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 04-01-2012, 10:59 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: miami Posts: 232 | Thank you so much for showing these to me. Did you look for these at a hardware store or were they from BMW parts? I am trying to spec them from BMW since I have a $20 credit from them. | | | 04-01-2012, 11:10 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: miami Posts: 232 | This is what I have here. In the bmwfans diagram it shows same width but different lengths. I have here the small one which is said to go on the bottom part # 51418215054 and the top one was already there before. I am confused because in the diagram it shows them as the same diameter but different lengths.
