I just had a problem with my ignition jamming and the steering wheel locking up even when the car was running(I was a little concerned about it locking up on the fly, if you know what I mean). Look at his pics on the other forum. I followed the pic and with the 11/32 drill bit first drill the spring fell onto the mat. Problem solved.

Default where is the picture taken

I found the photo showing a close up of where the hole is to be drilled. but how do I locate the part? is it just below the steering wheel under that peice of plastic?

Yes, you just need to remove the plastic trim piece under the steering column.

I don't think if this happens to you guys or not, but when I have steering lock, I'm also unable to move my key in the ignition even whilst using a lot of force. I suppose it's a safety feature, so I won't mess with it.

I just lock, and unlock my car to 'unlock' my steering and ignition lock

it helps if you jiggle the wheel while you're trying to turn the key
