Default Engine fail to start, video available

Hey guys,
I have a BMW Compact 318TI 1995 (M42 engine I believe) Since last week, The engine has been playing up. Starting up the first time FAIL, but somehow starts up really good on second go. Could this be the start up motor? Alternator? Or battery?

As you can see in the video.

Please let me know what's the problem, if you came to this trouble before. Please give me a comment what I need to buy or fix and how much did it cost you. Thanks

Sounds like your starter may be on its way out. Pretty easy fix if you have the right tools. I just changed mine out last friday in about 2 hrs. I think they cost roughly $150ish.

Seems like the starter, but just to make sure it's not a bigger issue..i would take it to a garage and get an opinion, or if you want...take it to a bimmer dealer and have them service it.

starter bendix not engaging fulling or teeth damaged on flywheel. Starter may be loose. Definately a starter engagement issues.

My internet opinion.
