I'm not sure but I do know where your Caps Lock key is; it's on the left edge of your keyboard. Welcome to the forums, lovemyti!

FWIW I think this is a common leak point on the 1.9L M44

In theory, it is a very straight forward job.

In practice, the crankshaft pulley/nut is a major pain in the ass. You need to have an impact gun strong enough to undo the nut. Another option is to use a long breaker bar, prop it against the ground and undo the nut with the starter.

Once the pulley is off, you can replace the seal, put the pulley back on and ... you are in for an adventure again. You gotta tighten the nut.

If I remember correctly you need to lock the flywheel and use a torque wrench(if you can find one) to tighten the nut. I think the torque has to be somewhere around 250lb/ft.

Another option is to get that impact gun going.

I had to do this last year and the money I paid to my mechanic were well spent.

I just had this same problem quoted to me on my '95 1.8 liter, the labor alone was 7 hours. The colder it gets here is Chicago, the worse the leak gets.
