Aside from moving the fastening bolts, is there any trick to popping it off? Seemingly not like a E28 or E30 dash that pops out once you remove all the retaining bolts. Wondering if there is a trick to removing the Ti dash? Also if anyone has see a reference picture to all the retaining bolts, possible I could have missed one, or twelve bolts... Thanks! __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! Two (2) 13mm nuts will need to be removed from each side of the dash (where the dash meets the door panel. Remove the steering wheel (25mm torx gets the airbag/horn off), climate control panel, stereo, glove box, panel under steering wheel, instrument cluster, etc. Be careful around the passenger side airbag. Be careful when dealing with the tubes running to the vents and such. I did it without help...no idea at all. Got the old one out and the new one installed within 2 hours. Pretty easy. I'd say it's a 2 on a 1-5 scale. Good luck! Hope this helps. | __________________ -Alex 1995 Bmw 318ti - Cordoba rot | | | 10-15-2014, 06:09 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Thanks! I didn't know abut the top bolts. Not present on other dashes I've removed. Yes, the photo should go in the knowledge base. Thanks!
