Default Question about front body trim

Just got done installing a license plate delete trim from bavarian autosports.
My question is, I have a 1/4 of an inch space now(wasn't long enough?) where the trim from the passenger side meets. Is it supposed to be like this? Thanks!

I have the bav auto license plate delete on my car as seen in this photo

I don't have any gaps in the trim, but the more I think about it if you pushed the trim all the way to one side a gap could be noticable. Could you post a picture?
