I would like to do it, and am hoping to find them used for cheap. __________________ 18'' Ace Wheels • Pirelli P7000 SS Tires • Bosal Brospeed Exhaust • B&M Short Throw Kit • H&R Sport Springs • Euro Clears • cat delete • Rogue Engineering Clutch Stop • Modded Airbox • blacked out kidney grilles • Suede Headliner/A Pillars S52 CONVERSION UNDERWAY | | | 11-17-2003, 02:38 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Why? I'd recommend stock vented rotors from a 325/328 unless your ti was built after 4/98, then they already have vented rotors. Unless you are tracking your car, why go through the expense? My plain old vented rotors work just fine at the track. But if you really must upgrade brakes I would go with at least a 2 pot caliper. At least make the upgrade worthwhile. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 11-17-2003, 04:37 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Wilmington, NC Posts: 641 | The idea just popped into my head, no plans to do actually do it though, thanks for the advice though __________________ 18'' Ace Wheels • Pirelli P7000 SS Tires • Bosal Brospeed Exhaust • B&M Short Throw Kit • H&R Sport Springs • Euro Clears • cat delete • Rogue Engineering Clutch Stop • Modded Airbox • blacked out kidney grilles • Suede Headliner/A Pillars S52 CONVERSION UNDERWAY | | | 11-17-2003, 05:05 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Wilmington, NC Posts: 641 | Another question- Does the ti have a unique brake rotor? Pre 4/98 they were solid. Post 4/98 they were vented. They share the same rotors with other models. Regular vented rotors simply require different calipers and bracket. M3 brakes require a bit more work. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 11-17-2003, 09:29 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Wilmington, NC Posts: 641 | As I was browsing on a website, I clicked on the brakes section. When deciding on which model to choose from, it had the E36 (except ti), and E36 (ti). I wasn't sure what it meant, which i thought it was different. __________________ 18'' Ace Wheels • Pirelli P7000 SS Tires • Bosal Brospeed Exhaust • B&M Short Throw Kit • H&R Sport Springs • Euro Clears • cat delete • Rogue Engineering Clutch Stop • Modded Airbox • blacked out kidney grilles • Suede Headliner/A Pillars S52 CONVERSION UNDERWAY | | | 11-26-2003, 01:51 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Toronto Posts: 148 | pre 98 318ti - 286x12mm 318/325/328/post 98 318ti - 286x22mm M3 - 325x28mm e46 330 - 328x25mm Also some 316s/318s had 286x12mm front rotors in Europe.
