Default Bad electic fan.....FIXED

Well, troubleshooting this car I bought, it seemed as though the electric fan wasn't coming on. Once I swapped the connectors I replaced (had the oil press and water temp backwards), I noticed the car would run a tick about halfway going about 55-65 w/ac on. Would get hot quick after I came to a stop.

OK, so I start troubleshooting. Relay clicks on when I turn on the AC, I test the other relays, A-OK.

Next up I jump the relay, but no fan. Unplug fan and test voltage. It's getting 12v so the wiring is ok. I tried to spin the fan over by hand incase it was jammed....nope, it spun freely.

So...with nothing else to loose, I pulled the fan. Took the square plastic plug off the backside of the fan, made sure nothign was broken or cracked in the wiring, and supplied 12V direct....nothing. I did notice when I set the fan down about an ounce of carbon came out of it, so I pryed the back cover off the motor. I'd say there was a full cup of carbon dust in there....don't breath this stuff!. Took it outside, blew it out with compressed air, sprayed it with electric contact cleaner and reassembled.

Fan works
