It looks like the M3 bumper (cover only), will not fit on the TI's standard bumper reinforcement (steel part). The M3 cover allows for 3.5 inches of metal, and the TI bumper has 4.25 inches. So it looks like I have to buy an actual M3 Reinforcement to make the bumper cover work. Does this sound right? OR is there some way to get this cover to fit on the TI reinforcement? | | | 12-30-2012, 04:21 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | That does not sound right. I (and many other members) have put M3 bumper covers on utilizing the stock 318ti reinforcement beam. Are you installing an aftermarket bumper or and OEM one? __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. I've used the same reinforcement beam for all the bumpers. Also, I had an M3 a few years back (which I re-did the whole front end on) and the beam was identical. Post up a couple of pics so we can better see your issue. __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. Looks like you guys were right. the Umnitza bumper just needed to be bent a bit to make it fit. Now if the paint matching was just a bit better. I ordered avus blue but it certainly doesnt match. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
