I love bmw's and i love hatchbacks, hence how i found myself in a 318ti... I was lucky enough to land in one with a M50 swap that is solid... But my other love is sleeper cars, and power, so forced induction was always my end goal... unfortunately my technical know how is far inferior to my ambitions... So i'm looking for someone who is willing to help me reach this goal... i know it is a huge task and not easily accomplished but prefer the thought of being able to help hands on then relinquishing control to a shop that most likely doesn't have much experience in this specific build... i'm sure this is a long shot, but if you have the know how and energy/time i'd love at the minimum some insight... i live in portland so the northwest is my stomping ground, but would be willing to travel... Don't know if my dream person exists, but felt like this was worth a shot... | | | 10-18-2010, 02:31 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | I would help you but I'm in Floirida. I work with one that has good connections to individuals that can make things hum right along... What are you looking for? It's hard to know where to start since the car already has custom exhaust from the first swap (s52 before head gasket blew)... My goals aren't 400hp or above, i getting speeding tickets now with just m3 cams, but more around 300 to 350hp... seems a lot of people use turbonetics T3/T4 or Holset HX35, also seen some pretty nice TRM setups... My main concerns are not knowing what is cost efficient, what will properly fit, performance, and sustainability... a shop or Someone who can help brainstorm these things is kinda what i'm lookin for... | | | 10-19-2010, 12:22 PM | #5 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by jrusso628 Not sure if it would be cheaper to buy in a kit or piece a kit together as i find deals...
