Default ASC bypass switch

I'm wondering if it is possible to wire the asc to a toggle switch in place of the momentary button. I’m trying to turn the asc off all the time and only turn it on when I would want to.
I'm curious if wiring it to a toggle switch would create any problems?

If you press the asc button once it stays turned off until you either turn it back on or it will reset when you turn the ignition off and back on.Why do you want to by pass the switch ?

so he doesnt have to turn it off.

my guess is most likely not. well of course its doable but not that easy. since it sounds like for it to turn off it always needs to be held for a few seconds which is sending a signal to the asc and then it shuts off.

see if it is possible to hold the button then turn the car on and what happens if the button stays in the on position.

Even with a toggle switch, it will reset when you shut off/turn on the car.

I'm want to turn it off permanently. I'll try holding the button while I turn the car on.

just unplug the module then.

Might throw a CEL though... Im not sure.

Or just cut the bowden cable from the module itself. Then there is no way for it work at all... although I don't know personally if there would be any ill-effects from doing so.

as long as the system stays off when the button is held you could make a toggle or just go behind the switch and make the wires always be connected. or take of the cable. but then there may be lights hat never turn off
