Disconnect the tail lights and try the headlights again see if the flashers come on. If it does not check the wiring for the tail lights or check if the connecters are properly connected. I had changed my tail lights had a similar problem but with only one flasher light. My problems was one of the pins in the connectors were not making contact. Hope this helps. let us know how you progress. my 2 cents | | | 01-14-2011, 02:35 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Isn't that exactly what they are supposed to do? That's how mine are. Your post is very confusing because you refer to the lights as flashers when they are not flashing. I assume you mean the corner lights, sidemarkers, and taillights. These come on and stay on because they are running lights. When you hit the turn signal or hazard switch they will blink. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 01-14-2011, 04:59 PM | #4 | Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: Toronto, Canada Posts: 43 | sorry for the confusion, yes im referring the makers corner and tail lights as the flasher lights....they wont flash they just stay on..and the left and right arrows in the side the car stay on ..im going to reconnect the plug that the taillights are connected and post my results. | | | 01-14-2011, 06:38 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | did you put in the correct bulbs? Sounds like you put single filament bulbs where duals were needed. That would short the circuits together. __________________ No more ti. | | | 01-14-2011, 10:32 PM | #6 | Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: Toronto, Canada Posts: 43 | ^^ yes your right...the situation is this...my front corners are clear i needed them to be amber so i bought chrome bulbs that glow amber next, i just changed the stock tails to clear also but i dont have another pair of chrome bulbs and i need the tails to be amber. so i took out the chromes from the front and put them in the rear...i then took the taillights clear bulbs an put them in the corner lights this is why its giving me problems because there wrong types. now i have a new problem i cant get the taillight bulls out of the corner lights...i pushed down and turned both sides, tried to rip them out etc.. they wont come out now..its like they cant slide out the path they went it.. Tried 2 get them out for 15 mins with no luck...might i add its -17 outside and i got no garage. ughhh | | | 01-15-2011, 02:59 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Fiji Posts: 169 | Quote: Originally Posted by xsalernox ^^ yes your right...the situation is this...my front corners are clear i needed them to be amber so i bought chrome bulbs that glow amber next, i just changed the stock tails to clear also but i dont have another pair of chrome bulbs and i need the tails to be amber. so i took out the chromes from the front and put them in the rear...i then took the taillights clear bulbs an put them in the corner lights this is why its giving me problems because there wrong types. now i have a new problem i cant get the taillight bulls out of the corner lights...i pushed down and turned both sides, tried to rip them out etc.. they wont come out now..its like they cant slide out the path they went it.. Almost at least 1 or 2 people come up to the dealer I work at with the same complaints, same problems. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
