Exclamation Center Bearing Removal Need Advice

Ok, so there's where I'm at. I've searched threads and have only found mention of what a pain in the ass this thing is to get back on.
And the Pelican write up actually says,

"Begin by removing the driveshaft clamp from the splined end. Then remove the large circlip using a pair of circlip removal pliers, or a pair of needle-nose pliers. Wear eye protection for sure here, as these can fly off if you're not careful. Pull the large support cup away from the bearing (Figure 9). You should not be able to remove the entire bearing and support bracket assembly."
Got that right! So I tried rigging a puller, but it was mostly pulling the rubber part, which began to look sketchy-like it would break an stuff would start flying....can't maneuver too well under there either.

Please enlighten me! What worked for you? Oh and yeah I did consider removing that back half of drive-shaft, but there is no room for a breaker bar and an open-ended/box wrench is not leveraging enough.
