Default sunroof drain?

i always leave my sunroof popped up, even when its raining, and i always have. i've seen the rain hit the inside a little where that black hard layer is under the "roof" part, but i've never had any problems with water getting in my car or any leaks of any sort, so i've basically always just kept it up for months. does the water drain out on the sides on somewhere at all, because surely it would add up over time during downpours?

i know i realllly should put it down, but really, it looks pretty badass up

There are at least 2 drains. Probably 4. I had my sunroof out earlier this year, but dont remember. I wouldn't suggest leaving it open because more water gets in and make a mess of the tracks and grease. And can damage the cloth on the card.

Ok thanks man! Well, it'll be snowing soon enough so, I really can't leave it up then.

Where are the drains located? Is there any disassembly required to get to them?

They're located at each corner of the sunroof cassette. The sunroof cassette is much larger than just the cutout as the exterior panel slides back into the cassette when you open it. To access the drains, you'll have to pull the headliner down around the pillars. You should see hoses going into the pillars, those are the drains. I'd be more concerned about debris clogging these drains from long-term exposure than them filling up with water.
